WHERE PASSION MEETS EDUCATION

The development of a future workforce is critical for the masonry industry. Since 1993, the Masonry Technology Foundation of Wisconsin (MTFW) has promoted masonry careers through scholarships, training programs and direct involvement at high schools and technical colleges across the state.

MTFW is a 501c(3) charitable organization. Contributions to the CEF can be either corporate or personal, and are generally 100% tax deductible.

ABOUT MTFW

ADOPTION PROGRAM

MTFW created an adoption program whereby contractors or groups of contractors or individuals or other entities could adopt a particular High School Masonry Module program.  Sets of basic masonry tools as well as student and instructor curriculum materials are provided.  A banner or plaque is given to the school to denote this adoption.

FUNDING - GOLF OUTING

Every summer MTFW hosts a golf outing that includes a raffle and short education session that updates the attendees on the progress being made with getting education programs in High Schools.  This provides youth the opportunity to think about masonry as a career choice that is hands- on, artistic and a good economic choice.

HIGH SCHOOL

MASONRY MODULES

One to two week modules that teach the basics of masonry as a career are becoming available in many high schools in the state through MTFW coordinated industry folks and enthusiastic Tech Ed Teachers.  Industry experts teach and provide hands on opportunities to build with brick, block and stone.  It is a great learning experience as well as fun!
