About Christine:
Christine “Tina” Subasic, P.E., LEED A.P. is a self-employed consulting architectural engineer at C. Callista Subasic in Raleigh, NC, where she specializes in masonry and sustainable design. Ms. Subasic provides technical support services, including standards development, educational seminars, masonry detailing, inspection services, and expertise on the role of masonry in sustainable design, and serves as editor of The Masonry Society’s Sustainability E-Newsletter. Ms. Subasic has represented The Masonry Society on the U.S. Green Building Council and has participated in the development of the International Green Construction Code (IGCC) and the Green Building Assessment Protocol for Commercial Buildings (ANSI/GBI 01-2010). She is active on ASTM E60 Committee on Sustainability and is a founding member of the TMS Sustainability Committee. Her work and dedication has been recognized by The Masonry Society as a recipient of the TMS President’s Award and TMS Service Award. Ms. Subasic has spoken to audiences throughout the U.S. on masonry and sustainable design.
She has written numerous articles and publications for Masonry Construction magazine and industry associations. She is the author of the books "Six-Minute Solutions for Civil PE Exam Structural Problems” and “Six-Minute Solutions for Structure I PE Exam” and co-authored the “Masonry Designers’ Guide.” Ms. Subasic received her Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Honors degree with Structural Option from the Pennsylvania State University. She is a LEED® Accredited Professional and a registered professional engineer in Virginia and North Carolina. Prior to starting her own firm, Ms. Subasic worked for the Brick Institute of America and Cagley & Associates.
